YURI ALERT!!!
I have an urgent yuri update for you all to look at. I was watching the second episode of Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos and was going to leave a review of it for next week, but I must show you this. I posted a bunch of screens from the middle of the episode and there is indeed yuri... I mean... geez... Check out my tumblr if you wish to see what I mean:[link]
I'm off to work when this episode is finished and will post a full review of what I can next week.
Life
Sorry about that little outburst earlier. It is weird, the moment I decided to post the page here my heart rate calmed down and my breathing steadied. I'm not sure why that place caused such a panic attack like that, but I'm almost certain it has to do with the fact that popularity isn't my goal and the site went against that.
Plus my fans are here. I know many don't feel it, but I do enjoy the community here. Sure there are a lot of problems, those hate groups for instance, but at least here I have groups of like minded people that I can go to. I've never stayed this long on one site, most of the time I leave after a couple months to a year. I'm a wanderer after all. Funny how I started this DA page shortly after settling down and getting married. I wonder if there is some kind of link... probably not, it's just me rambling.
Thanks for all your continuing support. Now to what people are really interested in.
Anime/manga News
I'm glad to hear that some of you are finding my weekly anime news interesting and helpful. I'm thinking I may post some of my finding on my Tumblr [link] however I do like keeping it strictly to my own works, but that is what DA is for and I do tend to find a lot of interesting stuff out there. Anyways the news.
Bamboo Blade - I was reading this a while back but never really got into it. Kim wanted something else to watch as we wait for Sankarea to conclude. The story is about a poor high school teacher who is the head of the kendo club. He is accepts a bet with an old school friend of his to put together an all girl's kendo squad and fight his girl's kendo team. The only problem is most of the kendo students have graduated and all he has left are two girls, one who has disappeared. So begins the search for a team of 5 to compete at kendo.
The first he finds is a rather cute, short haired, shy little girl named Tamaki, Tama for short, who is the daughter of of the head of a kendo dojo and a kendo prodigy. However, she doesn't care about joining any clubs, actually her only interest, other then kendo, is anime. Her father thinks she should join to make friends, seeing as she is a rather solitude girl.
Needless to say the series is filled with many insane and strange girls. Every time I think we have seen it all, another character comes to top it. It is rather crazy at times, like a group of girls who get excited when Tama hits them during practise and they all fight to be hit by her. Another girl who enjoys beating on people, yet another who likes to watch the violent one beat on people... I could go on, there are a lot of rather sadistic characters.
Yuri elements? There are some possibilities and one down right strange and creepy lesbian. It does appear there is a strong relationship between the two senior members, Kirino and Sayako, but it probably won't go anywhere.
K-on vol 5-6 - Speaking of yuri elements, my god the story between Saitou and Mugi just seeps with yuri potential it is unreal. Kakfly is just about as bad as Yoshimizu when it comes to setting up us yuri fans with possibilities, Probably worse... but never entirely coming through. It was interesting learning about what brought about Mugi's yuri vision among other things. To think the main girls are in collage now and still no boys in sight. Will Kakfly just leave things in the air and allow us to keep dreaming, or will we find our dreams destroyed in the end... I hope for more then just friendships will finally emerge, but guessing that the most we will get is more scenes to cause us to day dream.
Gaming News
Diablo 3, Diablo 3, Diablo 3
Kim has been allowing me to use her machine every now and then to play some Diablo 3. I can't wait to get another machine so we can play together. I just love the fact that many side quests are random so going through the game over and over doesn't get tiresome. I'm always finding something new and interesting. I also enjoy the destructive powers of the Wizard. I like the fact that you can destroy objects and get exp for causing more damage. I wipe out entire rooms just for the fun of it. It is very Amusing and satisfying. I'm still on Act one myself so it will take a long time to get through normal mode, but still enjoyable.
Well that is all from me. Sorry for the length of this journal.
