Kat's Stock Reference Guide

Since I'm not getting into stock photos I'd create a page of good stock photos that I like to use and that might be of some use to other artist.
Now for those who don't know Stock Photos are photos that people take that they give permission to others to use. One should always read the rules regarding said pictures. Usually the rules are to give credit to the original artist and to link back to them in the description as well as tell them about the piece you have created, but some people have other rules that should be read carefully before using their work.
As for me I've been using stock photos for years, even have a pose book from Japan which has been very useful. Since looking around DA I've found more and more lovely stock photos that really set my artist imagination alive with creativity. I usually seek out stock for pose and object reference. It is not easy trying to draw every angle possible, never mind some of the backgrounds. My last few pieces in my Morbid Tales series has used photos reference to help out with background objects and textures. I felt that some of the other artist on my watch list might find this list useful. Photo reference can help out smooth out an art piece of give you something to practice with.
The photos that I've posted are things that I use for reference, such as buildings, the texture of animals and other objects. Sometimes my end results look nothing like the photo in question, for instance I spent some time looking at a phone booth from different angels because I wanted to draw a large rectangular glass box from an ominous angel. People looked at me strangely because I probably looked as if I thought the phone booth was an alien device or something. LOL
Anyways, Here is a list of stock photographers that I found had some very useful things.
Of course there is my own stock photos, which I just started a stock photo account for. If you wish to see more of my photos check out my new account:

it is a new account so give me time to fill it. Mostly nature pics at this moment.

This is girl has some of my fav. stock photos. So many lovely poses and the like. Everything from holding swords to holding candlesticks and teddies. There is no end to the ideas that pop into my head while surfing through her photos. This photo stock pile is a must to check out at least once. Oh she also has a good tutorial on cameras and taking stock photos that came in very handy when buying our new camera.

This girl has some great pose reference. Shots of her sitting around at a train station and running in a long old fashion dress along with many more. There were so many that I could not even choose which ones to fav for I wanted to fav entire folders worth of images for use later. I love the series of running, so useful. One should really take a moment to check this one out as well.

has some of the best stock photos I've seen around. A beautiful series of photos of her daughter in many different poses in different types of clothing. I find it hard to find good stock for children reference. It is well worth a look and her daughter is adorable. For those seeking reference for children these are perfect. Please check her out at least to see her lovely daughter.

Here is yet another photographer with wonderful photos of children. I love the series of photos of their little sister holding a stuffed animal, very cute and filled with such emotion. This person also has some great nature photos as well as objects and more pose reference and other things.

has a large array of textures, brushes, objects, wings, poses and all kinds of other goodies. I love the textures so much I used them in my newest works. This is worth checking out if you are into digital arts for they are very useful as well as for pose and item reference.

Has a variety of stock images, but what I like the best is the folder of nature pictures. Frogs, snails, chipmunks, spiders and many more animals. Fun to look at and to help with drawing.

Here is a treasure trove of object stock. From sets of old keys to Picture frames, mirrors, doors and even Candelabrum. It is well worth checking it out.

has an array of stock out that can be useful. Clocks, graveyards, trees, Puzzles, blank Polaroid photos and much much more.
Also check out these two news posts for over 100 other great stock photos artist. I just found the post so am sifting through them right now.
